Vineyard Christian School was established in 2006 with approximately 25 Grade R and Grade 1 pupils. The school has grown since then, one grade at a time, year on year, to its current size of 150+ learners, with a fulltime principal, administrative staff, and a full complement of teachers. The school is currently hosting Grade R through to Grade 7 pupils and is planning a high school as from 2013.

Vineyard Christian School and Little Vineyard Nursery School are situated on a farm and are housed in the original farm buildings surrounded by tall trees and spacious play grounds.

In 2009 the School participated for the first time in the Conquesta School Olympiads, which attracts participants from more than 1300 schools internationally (from South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Australia and New Zealand), and obtained exceptionally good results. We managed to achieve a number ofTop 20 positions in the various academic diciplines tested, including a 1st place for Grade 4 Bible Study.

The 2010 Conquesta Olympiad results were excellent again, and the school placed in the top 20 for many learning areas and grades.

All of our learners at Vineyard are encouraged to participate in at least one extra-curricular activity. Learners can take part in a variety of sporting activities. We believe in finding, maintaining and keeping a balance in life, therefore our extra-mural programme includes cultural activities.

In order to instil an awareness and appreciation of God's wonderful creation and to develop agility, confidence and social skills, we offer the children a variety of outdoor programmes and challenges. We also encourage the children to develop their spiritual gifts and talents by participating in various Spiritual Challenges and our community Outreach Programmes.
The school has a full After Care facility where we feed and care for the children after normal school hours, on weekdays during the official school term.
